FAQ

Questions collectors ask first

Yes, completely free. A small banner ad and a few affiliate links to Amazon, eBay and AliExpress keep it running — they are clearly marked, they never unlock features, and you can ignore them. There is no subscription and no paywalled part of your collection.

You can browse the car catalogue and search models without one. A free account (username plus email) is what saves your collection, wishlist and statistics so they follow you across devices and reinstalls.

They are tracked separately. Filter by hunt type to list only Treasure Hunts or only Supers for a given year, and each result row carries a colour-coded rarity badge so you can tell at a glance what you are looking at.

Every car you add to your collection can store the price you paid. The app keeps a running total value for the whole collection, shown in the currency you pick in your profile (€, $ or £).

No. This is an independent tool built by a collector, for collectors. Hot Wheels is a registered trademark of Mattel, Inc. and this app is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Mattel. Model information is compiled from public sources such as the Hot Wheels wiki and the collector community.

You can request deletion at any time from the account deletion page: it drafts an email, verifies the request and removes your account, collection and wishlist from the active database. See the privacy policy for the full retention details.

Yes — the catalogue and your data live on our servers so they stay in sync across devices, and the side menu shows the server status. Your login is stored on the device, so you are not asked to sign in every time.

Find the missing ones

Jump straight to the marketplaces

Every car page in the app links to the same search on the major marketplaces, so you can hunt the missing models without retyping the name. These are affiliate links: qualifying purchases earn the project a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Prefer to buy locally? Keep the app open while you scan the pegs — the catalogue search works as a pocket reference for collector numbers, series and card variants.

Check availability

As an Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. If you click and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps support the app's development and growth.

Why use a dedicated tracker?

Collecting Hot Wheels is more than a hobby: it is preservation and cataloguing. Whether you collect Redlines from the 1968 era or the latest Car Culture premiums, keeping an accurate inventory is what separates a collection from a pile of boxes.

A dedicated tracker lets you keep card variations apart, compare loose and carded examples, remember which store exclusive came from where, and share your wishlist with other collectors at swap meets and shows.
